Leftovers....

Jack has been "lighting" fireworks for the past 4 days. Leftovers that is. He takes his dump truck out into the field across the street, loads all the burnt remnants of an overly celebrated 4th of July, along with the poles used to launch said fireworks, and brings them into our yard. He spends quite a while using his plastic hammer to make sure the poles are in the ground securely.

He begins by digging for the perfect firework to light.

After he finds one he makes sure it fits in the launcher to his approval.

When he's finally satisfied he yells "Mom, watch this one!" and lights it using his magic fingers. Amazing display I must say. Oh, and the backpack? Full of all the clothes from his dresser. He filled it with most of the clothes he owns. It was all fun and games until we lost the backpack yesterday somewhere between our house and the park. Getting dressed the next few days will be interesting to say the least.

Before you explained the backpack, it was cracking me up that he was wearing a backpack while he was busily preparing fireworks. How funny is that - he doesn't have anything to carry around in it, so he stuffs it full of his clothes! Hahaha! (I hope you find it!)

A DAY IN THE LIFE

This is a simple little blog about me and my family. Nothing fancy, just experiences that make me who I am. Take it or leave it. I'll still be just me.
